If you access our sites from a shared or public computer or using an unsecured network, certain information about you, such as your username, activity, or reminders from VSCM, may also be visible to other individuals who are using the same computer or network.
If you use a message board, blog, or other communication medium on VSCM, you should be aware that personally identifiable information you submit there may be read, collected, or used by other users; this may include sending you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums.
VSCM may enable you to share financial and personal information to complete transactions and collect payments. We do not tolerate spam. VSCM systems are not to be used to email users without their express consent. We may automatically scan and/or manually filter messages to check for spam, viruses, phishing attacks, and other malicious activity or illegal or prohibited content. VSCM may send you service-related announcements as necessary. For example, if service is suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications since they are not promotional in nature and are necessary to maintain the quality of our service. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.
Your information is stored on our servers. We protect your information using technical and administrative security measures to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, unintentional disclosure, and unauthorized alteration. Some of the safeguards we use include firewalls, data encryption, and access controls. If you do share your password or your personal information with others, remember that you are responsible for all actions taken and financial commitments made in the name of your account. If your account is compromised due to password mismanagement, you may lose substantial control over your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately notify VSCM and ensure that your password is changed.
Account Deletion. Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information as soon as reasonably possible, based on your account activity and in accordance with applicable law. We do retain personal information from closed accounts in order to comply with state and federal laws, deter fraud, collect outstanding debts, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce policies, and take other actions otherwise permitted by law.
